Rain and Hail Announces Executive Management Promotions

PHILADELPHIA--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Rain and Hail, the agricultural insurance division of the ACE Group, today announced several promotions among its executive management team. Bob Haney has been appointed Chairman of Rain and Hail. Through his nearly thirty-year career with Rain and Hail, Mr. Haney has held various positions of increasing responsibility in claims and executive management, serving most recently as President of Rain and Hail. Mr. Haney will continue to be based in Johnston, Iowa.

Michael Coleman has been appointed President, Rain and Hail, with executive responsibility for leading the company’s day-to-day operations. Mr. Coleman has been with ACE and its predecessor companies for more than twenty five years. He has been responsible for ACE’s crop business and served as a Director on the Rain and Hail board. Following ACE’s acquisition of Rain and Hail in 2010, Mr. Coleman assumed an expanded role, including responsibility for the farm property and casualty businesses in 2011, and the commercial agriculture operations with ACE’s acquisition of Penn Millers in late 2011. He will also be based in Johnston, Iowa.

Scott Arnold, Senior Vice President of Rain and Hail, has been appointed Executive Vice President, Field Operations. Mr. Arnold will oversee all marketing and business development operations, including management of the company’s nine field offices. He will drive the company’s distribution strategy with a focus on expanded specialty product offerings for the farm and commercial agriculture segments. Since joining Rain and Hail in 1989, he has held several positions of increased responsibility, including National Marketing Manager.
