Clement Stone's, philanthropic legacy and engaged in charitable endeavors year-round. The company gave back to more than 15 organizations through donations, employee-led volunteerism and corporate sponsorships.

Combined Insurance founder and noted philanthropist, W. Clement Stone, donated more than $275 million to civic groups, mental health, and other charitable organizations during his lifetime—in efforts to "make the world a better place." This year, the company supported organizations doing just that, such as: American Cancer Society, JDRF, Heartland Alliance, OneSight, USO of Illinois and Luke's Wings.  

Every year, the sales teams earn the privilege of donating on behalf of their region to a military-related charitable organization, based on achieving established sales targets. From this charitable campaign, entitled Operation Veteran GiveBack, $50,000 was divided and donated to two military/veteran charities—Luke's Wings and Heartland Alliance's Support Services for Veteran Families Program. As the nation's Number One Military Friendly® Employer for 2019 and number one Military Spouse Friendly® Employer for 2019[1], the company demonstrated its continued commitment to supporting U.S. veterans and military servicemen and women.

Another military/veteran-focused charity that the company has committed to in 2018 is the USO of Illinois through the following:

• In May, approximately 15 employees served 451 meals to service members and their families at the USO Great Lakes Naval Base in Great Lakes, Ill.
• During the holidays, employees put together 100 care packages to send to deployed service members.

Additionally, Combined Insurance has given back in 2018 to a variety of organizations, such as:

• Granting the gift of sight by partnering with OneSight to help thousands of children and individuals who lack access to vision care.
• Fundraising and sponsoring over $13,000 to benefit the American Cancer Society and their mission to free the world from cancer.
• Giving back to Latino-focused charitable organizations and communities, including Casa Central, a Hispanic-serving social service agency in Chicagoland and Mujeres Latinas en Accion.
