ACE USA Makes Executive Appointments in Regional Operations

PHILADELPHIA--(BUSINESS WIRE)--ACE USA, the U.S. based retail operations of the ACE Group, today announced key executive appointments in its regional operations. Robert Poliseno has been appointed Senior Vice President & Regional Executive Officer, Mid-Atlantic region. Mr. Poliseno will be responsible for setting and driving the overall strategic direction for ACE USA’s Mid-Atlantic region. He will work collaboratively with the regional underwriting team to oversee all business development, retention and underwriting activities, establish distribution strategies, and service initiatives for middle market and large commercial customers.

Mr. Poliseno will report to Ed Zaccaria, Division President, ACE USA Regional Operations and succeeds Steven Reiss in this role, who was recently appointed Regional Chief Operating Officer, Continental Europe, ACE Group.

John Alfieri, Regional Executive Officer, ACE USA New York Region, was recently appointed to Division President, Global Accounts, for ACE’s segment in North America. Andrew Hurley, currently the Chief Operating Officer, will assume day to day responsibilities for managing ACE USA’s largest region reporting to Mr. Alfieri and Mr. Zaccaria.

Bill O’Donnell has been appointed Senior Vice President, Distribution Management, in addition to his current role as Global Client Executive. He will work collaboratively with ACE’s business units across North America, responsible for managing strategic broker relationships. In addition, he will develop plans to drive broker relationships on a national level.

Katharyn Kubursi has been appointed Senior Vice President, Distribution Management and Global Client Executive. As a Global Client Executive, Ms. Kubursi will work with a select group of multinational clients and distribution partners to coordinate ACE’s broad range of global risk management solutions on their behalf. In her role as Senior Vice President, Distribution management, she will oversee key broker relationships and distribution strategies for ACE in the U.S. Based in Philadelphia, Mr. O’Donnell and Ms. Kubursi will report to Mr. Zaccaria.

With more than 17 years of insurance industry experience, Mr. Poliseno most recent served as Vice President, ACE Professional Risk. His previous experience includes serving in a variety of commercial insurance underwriting roles at a global carrier. Mr. Poliseno received a Bachelor of Arts degree in International Management from Pace University—Lubin School of Business, and an MBA in Marketing from City University of New York-Baruch College-Zicklin School of Business.

With more than 30 years of experience in the insurance industry, Mr. O’Donnell, who most recently served as Senior Vice President and Global Client Executive, ACE Group, joined ACE USA in 2009. Prior to his tenure with ACE, he held various underwriting and reinsurance leadership positions at several global and U.S.-based carriers. Mr. O’Donnell received a Bachelor of Arts degree in History from Villanova University, located in Villanova, PA.

With more than 13 years of experience in the insurance industry, Ms. Kubursi, who most recently served as Vice President and National Account Segment Leader, joined ACE USA in 2006, as part of ACE USA’s Mid-Atlantic Regional Operations. Prior to her tenure with ACE, she held various positions in Business Development and Account Management at several global carriers and brokerage companies. Ms. Kubursi received a Bachelor of Science degree in International Business from The Pennsylvania State University, and MBA in Marketing, from Temple University in Philadelphia.
