ACE Makes Executive Appointments in Its Global Client Executive Practice

PHILADELPHIA--(BUSINESS WIRE)--ACE Group today announced new executive appointments in its Global Client Executive practice, naming Mark Loughlin, Keith Mattheessen and David Petrone as Global Client Executives. Reporting to John Alfieri, Division President, Global Accounts, North America, and Division President, ACE USA Regional Operations, they will support ACE’s multinational clients and distribution partners by providing them access to a broad range of customized global risk management solutions, including top level claims management, compliance, regulatory, and technology expertise.

ACE’s Global Client Executive practice was established in 2010 to better partner with clients and brokers who value a single point of contact in accessing ACE’s multiline, global network of products and services. ACE’s Global Accounts division was launched in 2013 to serve large multinational customers around the globe with complex underwriting and servicing needs.

Mr. Loughlin is based in Boston, Mass., and brings more than 25 years of extensive experience in the insurance arena to his new role. He most recently served as the National Account Segment Leader for ACE’s Northeast Region, with responsibility for managing all aspects of the National Account segment for this region. Mr. Loughlin joined ACE in 2008, and previously spent 20 years with a global brokerage in various client management roles in offices in Boston, New York, Milan and Rome. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree in History and International Studies from Dickinson College, in Carlisle, PA.

Mr. Mattheessen is based in Houston, TX, and brings nearly 30 years of insurance industry experience to this key role. He previously served as Senior Vice President and Branch Manager, Houston Region, in the ACE Risk Management® Global Casualty Division -- the company’s Primary Casualty business -- as well as Chief Underwriting Officer of the Division’s Energy Underwriting Unit. Mr. Mattheessen joined ACE USA in 1999, and has held several senior account management and underwriting leadership roles in ACE Risk Management. Prior to his tenure with ACE, he held various senior leadership roles with several global insurance carriers. Mr. Mattheessen received a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Western Illinois University.

Mr. Petrone is based in New York City, and brings more than 18 years of diverse experience in sales, underwriting and insurance to ACE. He joins ACE from a global brokerage, where he spent 18 years serving in client-facing service delivery positions, and placing coverage in a variety of lines of business. He most recently held the position of Managing Director and Senior Client Executive in the company’s New York office, responsible for Fortune 500 foreign multinationals. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Finance and Economics from William Paterson University, in Wayne, NJ.
